Transportation Information

Morning Drop-Off Loop

 

Time: 8:30 – 8:55 AM

• Please remain alert and follow all posted signs and staff directions.

 

• Students should not be dropped off before 8:30 AM.
  • At 8:55, students will line up on the playground and enter the building with their teachers.
     
• All cars must enter from the south driveway on Milwaukee Street.
   
• Vehicles dropping off students should stay in the right-hand lane and proceed forward until traffic stops.
   
• Form a single line next to the sidewalk. Do not pass vehicles on the left.
   
• You may park and wait in the loop prior to 8:30. Students may exit vehicles at 8:30 when staff are present.
   
• Remain alert and follow all posted signs and staff directions.
   
• Parents must remain in the vehicle while using the loop.
   
• Please ensure your child is ready to exit from the passenger side promptly; staff will assist and direct them to the playground.
   
• If you need to get out of your vehicle to assist your child, please park in the lot and walk them to the designated area.
   
• All students will walk to the playground at the back of the school.
   
• Students eating breakfast will also walk to the back and enter through Door #5.
   
• Cars must exit using the north driveway on Milwaukee Street.
   
• Yield to buses as they use the marked lanes to access the rear of the school for student drop-off.

Morning Drop-Off – Parking Lot Option

Parents may also choose to park in the lot and walk their child to the crosswalk. A crossing guard will assist students, and staff will guide them to the playground.

• Children should not walk from the parking lot alone.
   
• If you are not parking and walking your child, please use the loop for drop-off.
   
• Please note: The parking lot may be congested during the first few days of school.
   
• Overflow parking is available thanks to the generosity of nearby businesses:
   
  • PS Gifts & More (use the back lot behind the building)
     
  • Pick ‘n Save (park in spots closest to the road)
    Both are located just south of Trailside on Milwaukee Street.

Afternoon Pick-Up Procedures

Parking Lot Pick-Up

• Parents may park and wait on the sidewalk or grass on the far side of the loop, closest to the parking lot.
   
• For safety, students will not be allowed to walk to parked vehicles alone.
   
• If you remain in your car, please use the pick-up loop.
   
• As with drop-off, overflow parking is available at PS Gifts & More and Pick ‘n Save, with the same parking guidelines as listed above.
   

Pick-Up Loop

• Cars should pull forward in the loop until traffic comes to a stop.
   
• Staff will assist students in locating and entering vehicles from the passenger side.
   
• Vehicles will exit using the north driveway.
   
• Please be aware of and yield to buses entering and exiting via the bus lane.
